How Is An Espresso Machine Different From A Normal Coffee Machine?

Q: How is an Espresso machine different from a normal coffee machine? I've made Espresso in my coffee machine, and it tastes pretty good, is there a big difference?

A: An Espresso machine uses pressure to brew, making Espresso more concentrated than coffee. As a result, Espresso tends to be much stronger than regular coffee. Also note that any type of coffee can be used to make Espresso, it's the machine that makes the difference. Remember: Coffee is to Espresso as cocaine is to crack. Regular coffee is made by dripping hot water through ground coffee. In Espresso, the grind is much finer, almost powdery, it is compacted and then steam is forced through the grind, creating more of an extract.
