What Is The Max Safe Number Of 'Espresso' Style And Measure Coffees Per Day?
Q: I drink 4-6 strong Espresso coffees each morning and that is usually it for the day. I don't feel any negative side effects.
A: There is about 100mg of caffeine in a cup of Espresso. 8,000mg will kill you. It's said that 250mg will cause mild side effects, which is usually why people need their coffee every day. Two cups daily, I'd imagine, would lead to a slight addiction. It's up to nearly 800mg before it starts to really affect your body. 600mg a day should be your max. Totally just googled the second part, but I know how much kills you. ;) Source(s): http://www.cyh.com/HealthTopics/HealthTo...I calculated this once for a chemistry class. I think it was in the realm of 140-200 cups of coffee would have to be consumed to reach the LD50 for caffeine. (LD50=lethal dose for 50% of the population). However, you'll start feeling adverse side effects or high caffeine consumption long before you kill yourself. Don't worry, you're fine. Besides I have a customer who consumes 4-6 quad shots in my shift alone, and I don't know how many in the time after I've left the shop. I don't know, it's different for everyone. Just listen to your body and don't go overboard. I drink Espresso all day long and don't feel any negative side effects. Though I usually spread it out and have a few shots here and there. I think as long as you don't binge, you will be fine. I don't see it a problem - however Espresso coffee vary in caffine level. If you stopped drinking them for a few days, your body would tell you if it was addicted. A safe caffine level is less than 500mg caffine a day.
