Q: Where is pop culture headed in the future, hot beverage wise? Coffee, espresso, capuccino, & ect? Need opinions on this for marketing plan.
A: coffee, Espresso and Cappuccinos have been popular for centruies .... trends come and go, but these will always be popular! Hopefully, though, people will learn to appreciate the true goodness of coffee and stop adding all that whipped cream and syrup to them, or, at least, don't call that coffee! :) I suggest you do a poll ranking between age groups just to clarify, because you can't really express all Americans as liking one kind. I love Mochas, Espressos, 'Cafe Au Lait', etc. Nothing with too much chocolate/cream/caramel/whatever else. My parents like straight up coffee, while my younger sister (13) likes those dessert coffees from 'Caribou'/'Starbucks' that are more sweet than coffee tasteing. ex. Tea flavoured ice creams, exotic flavoured coffees, Turkish coffee cafes with exotic Turkish snacks, Thai iced teas, Mexican coffees flavoured with Horchata like a 'Horchata Latte'. Interesting and exotic from a land far away theme. I think teas are gonna be most popular in America. Maybe it´s time to have an 'Starbucks' tea, but I love coffee, just regular balanced unsweetened coffee. It´s a great marketing research.
