The difference between the blade coffee grinder and the burr coffee bean grinder is very apparent.

The blade coffee grinder are the most economical grinder there is on the market. It is cheaper than the burr type of coffee grinder. The blade of the blade coffee grinder grinds the coffee beans and you are able to control how fine that you want the coffee bean to be. The main problem of a blade coffee grinder is that the coffee beans are uneven in size when it comes the size of the ground leading to have a very inconsistent brew. If you want to make a type of coffee that requires having very fine, even coffee then is not the grinder that you would want to use. Another big disadvantage of using this type of grinder is that when you trying to get a very fine ground, you need to grind for a long period of time resulting to having your final coffee grind having a burnt taste. If you want to just brew a regular type of coffee then its okay but if it the type of coffee that you wish to have requires finely ground beans then is not the one for you.

When making finely ground coffee that is uniform in size you would want to have the burr grinder. This grinder gives you a more uniform type of ground than a blade coffee grinder but is often more expensive to have. Most of the high end coffee shops tend to have a burr grinder because it gives you a uniform size of grind that gives you a more consistent taste. The coarseness of the grind will affect much and how fast water will flow through the bean. The finer the grind, the more time it will take for water to be forced through the grind. The brew cycle will make drastic changes in the taste of you coffee. You should not overcook it and you should time it properly.
