Espresso And Cappuccino Coffee Machine
So you got an espresso and cappuccino coffee machine and you are looking forward to enjoying a nice cup of coffee. You've taken the first step into a larger world of coffee drinking. However, the longer you stare at this new contraption on your counter and the more you read the directions on how to use it, the more intimidated you become. Honestly, an espresso and cappuccino coffee machine is not as hard to use as it looks. Operating it is really as easy as the directions make it out to be. Getting a good cup of espresso or cappuccino is where the confusing part comes into play.
When you use your espresso and cappuccino coffee machine you need to remember to start off the brewing process by using the right type of coffee. A typical machine only produces about two ounces of liquid coffee. You want to make sure you use a ground coffee that is especially prepared for an espresso and cappuccino coffee machine. You want to make sure that the coffee beans you purchase for your machine are ground very fine to get the fullest flavor possible.
These types of coffee machines use steam to brew the coffee so if you hear it hissing and whistling as it brews your espresso it is normal. The machine brews the coffee grounds by pushing steam through the coffee and into the tiny carafe below. It is advisable that you keep all of your body parts, especially the face and hands, away from the machine until it has stopped steaming. Steam burns are no fun and happen when you use an espresso and cappuccino coffee machine. Make sure your machine is in good working condition and is made of steel or high temperature resistant supplies.
As you look at your espresso and cappuccino coffee machine you may notice a nozzle on the side of it. This is an escape nozzle that allows excess steam to vent into the air. You can use this nozzle to heat milk in a small pitcher to make the frothy milk that is used to turn an espresso into a cappuccino. Simply put the nozzle into the milk and watch it foam. You can clean your espresso and cappuccino coffee machine with some vinegar and water if you notice it not working as optimally as it should and you can use vinegar on the nozzle to clean it, especially if you use the nozzle to heat up milk.
