    Why does coffee that is a day old turn grey?

    Yes I know.... day old coffee what's that but coffee that was brewed yesterday and did not sit on a hot plate; when half and half is added turns a distinctly grey.

    Since I asked someone else and she basically challenged me to find out myself.

    Sure there's a reason chemically? Thanks
