Folgers coffee can peel off seal explosion.

Bought a new can of coffee and when we opened the seal it litterally had coffee shoot all over the kitchen. Like you shook up a bottle of soda. Plus it does not smell like fresh coffee. A new can just bought from a target.

Any ideas.

I just read your posting.

It's good that no one got any flying coffee in his (or her) eyes.

I can't imagine why that would happen, especialy now-a-days. I've noticed that Folgers "red plastic canister" can with the peel off foil liner seems to stop the fresh coffee "hiss" sound and the coffee aroma that we used to get when we opened the old-fashioned cans.

There's usually a toll free number on the product label. Did you call them and tell them what happened? If so, you probably have already received enough coupons to get your Folgers free for the rest of your life.
