    Does anyone like HAMMERHEAD ?

As I know, this hammerhead (aka, Red eye or shot in the dark) coffee drink is only served in USA.
for the people who does not know, it is an American term for shot of espresso with drip filtered coffee. (sometimes with two shots of espresso + filtered coffee).

Just wondering where these names came from, Hammerhead, red eye or even shot in the dark.
is it because of stronger caffeine content? or just stronger taste?
Does anyone enjoy this type of coffee?

I have never heard of this but it does sound pretty good. Will have to try it and will report back.

I thought the one shot in drip is a red eye while a double shot in drip is a black eye.

I normally drink a double shot long in a 6 or 8 oz cup and top it up with drip.
