Iced coffee is getting more and more popular. You can find it in every coffee shop. There is an iced version for every coffee drink – cappuccino, latte, Caffé mocha, macchiato. But why you need to depend on others to make your favorite iced coffee drink, why don’t you make it yourself?

There are many different ways to prepare iced coffee. The first option which is considered better takes more time. This is called cold brew. You have to soak ground coffee overnight and then strain it in the morning. Thus the coffee has more rich and not so bitter. In a hot summer day, who can wait so long for a fresh glass of iced coffee? You can rely on heat to do the magic and then cool the coffee and make the iced drink. When making hot coffee you also have two options: espresso or granule instant coffee. Espresso is better for some of the versions of iced coffee while others may require instant coffee.

In the original article, you will discover the following recipes: Classic Iced Coffee, Vanilla Iced Coffee, Walnut Chocolate Iced Coffee, Iced Instant Coffee, Iced Mocha, and Coffee Shake. here I will share with you the Vanilla Iced Coffee recipe.
As the name iced coffee suggests, ice is an important ingredient. For some recipes, you can use ice cubes but other
recipes are better with crushed ice.

Vanilla Iced Coffee

Vanilla is an excellent flavor for iced coffee. You can get vanilla flavor by using vanilla ice cream and if that is not enough vanilla for you, you can use a vanilla extract instead.

Ingredients:

One cup (8 fl oz) espresso coffee
¼ cup (2 oz) brown sugar
½ cup (4 fl oz) boiling water
Two tsp vanilla extract
Three scoops vanilla ice cream + Ice

Instructions:

1. Make a cup of espresso coffee.
2. Let cool for 30 minutes at room temperature or place the coffee in a
refrigerator for 15 minutes.
3. Add sugar and vanilla extract to boiling water until sugar is dissolved.
4. Let sweet vanilla mixture cool for 30 minutes at room temperature or place in a refrigerator for 15 minutes.
5. Add sugar to the hot espresso. Stir well until sugar is dissolved.
6. Put ice in three glasses and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to every glass.
7. Pour coffee mixture.
8. Add 1 tablespoon of sweet vanilla mixture to every glass.
9. Serve with a straw or a decorative mixing spoon.

Try the Flash Brew method with the CR... I bet it brings out the acidity nicely in that coffee.

Hi, OP!

Thanks for sharing, though I prefer a so-called "Japanese" method. You need to use your normal brew method, but make three minor tweaks. First, use half the water you'd normally use. Second, grind the beans slightly finer than usual. Finally, fill the vessel into which your coffee brews with ice, in roughly the same amount as what you used to brew (you can measure with a scale or even just estimate by eye).
The brewed coffee will be twice as strong, but will be brewed directly into the ice, which instantly chills it.
Less time consuming and more user-friendly, in my opinion.
