Hogg Batch Coffee Doubles Down on Barrel-Aged Beans in Tampa

I was just browsing web about coffee today and just ran into this small success story.
what caught my eyes was that this Hogg twin brothers had bought "Mill City Roaster" to start their business.
Mill city has been advertising in this forum for years and year and been a great youtube educator and contributor for us.
anyway, it is an interesting and inspiring story.
if you have time, please take a look.

I suppose that you haven't tried yet?
I think it should be a lot more interesting (flavor wise, as a variation to a coffee drink) than butter coffee that is very popular..... (bullet proof coffee)

I've tried a couple, my overall thought - they are OK. Most of the time I find the spirit takes over the flavor profile of the coffee. Most of what I have tried has been whiskey barrel-aged - I LOVE whiskey and I LOVE coffee but not the combo. I'm the same way with barrel-aged beers. I did have one that was a natural coffee barrel-aged in a wine cask and that was pretty good. The fruity acidity of the residual wine added to the natural flavor of the coffee.

Perhaps trying out once or twice might be a good idea for me. Thanks Mike for your input
