Hi All,

In an overzealous attempt to clean my brew head on my trusty 8 year old livia 90, I turned it upside down and over did it with hot water--some got into the electronics.

For days it would short out... then each day it would stay on longer to a max of 5 minutes then short.

I brought it into a reputable espresso repair shop (I won't mention the name, as thus far they seem real nice) and got a quote. Seems CRAZY high... can you chime in on:

1) Do the repairs seem legit?
2) Is the repair price reasonable?
3) Is it worth to fix?

Here is the quote:

[*]WATER LEVEL ELECTRONIC BOX $ 256.28
[*]SOLID ST RELAY 25A SPST VAC INPUT N.O. 24-280 VAC PANEL MOUNT $ 58.00
[*]Autofill Probe $ 21.04 1
[*]VACUUM VALVE 1/4 $ 16.46
[*]SHOWER SCREEN RANCILIO $ 12.00
[*]gasket $ 10.00
[*]espresso machine Steam Valve gasket $ 4.50
[*]ESPRESSO MACHINE SERVICE (PER HR) $75.00 (1 hour)
Replace all above parts and clean group head on

Total with tax: $491.28!!!
