Hi everyone!
I'm no pro, I just like my community coffee out of my Mr. Coffee like my grandparents' taught me.

I just got this Mr. Coffee thing (Thermal Carafe for the BVMC-SJX33GT) and I have a question.

It's going to sound stupid.

Do you really have to take the lid all the way off to pour the coffee???

Seems to be the only way I can. Please help me and my coffee ignorance.

Amazon sells the thermal carafe that you purchased. If you read the reviews for both the coffee maker and the thermal carafe accesory, you will see that other people have had the same problem with the carafe. There apparently is a small rectangular hole in the lid, and that's where the coffee is poured from when you tilt the carafe. Several people wrote that when they try to pour the coffee they only get a slow thin stream, and they get annoyed with it, and take the lid off and pour the coffee that way (which cools the coffee down).

Don't forget to put hot water into the carafe to warm it before you make the coffee. That way, the hot coffee won't cool down when it goes into a cold carafe.
