Hello.

I have a suggestion to improve the coffee makers.

Wouldn't it be better if there was a coffee maker that supports a reusable coffee filter compatible with the K cup system and the like AND in the same time one can choose the time and temperature of brewing?
That feature would be appreciated not only by the coffee drinkers but from the tea drinkers as they will be able to make a customized tea using a K cup machine.

I spent a lot of time at Wal Mart trying to find such a machine to no avail.

If this topic is not in the right section I would appreciate if the moderators / admin move it there.

Kindest regards :).

If I'm not mistaken, I think Keurig makes a machine where you can adjust the size of the cup and the time and temperature. I remember seeing a demonstration on either QVC or HSN during the holiday season. Keurigs offers the reusable filter so you can use your own ground coffee. Making tea would be a bit tricky.

Keep on exploring. You may find what you're looking for.

Hi Rose.

I am sure Keurig's machines are not meant to brew both coffee and tea.
The main thing is with Keurig there's no machine that can be customized in order to make a tea and let alone to set custom times and/or temperatures.
I am eager to see a make and model coming with such a feature.
A machine that will use two size reusable filters (one cup and one pitcher), will have sepatate settings for tea and coffee and will be a 100% customizable concerning the infusion time and water temperature.

Thanks :).

Write down the specifics of what you envision.

Send it to Keurig and other manufacturers.

See what they say.

But, don't be surprised if someone there takes your idea and claims it as his own.

hahah you mean socialist. lol

ANyways.
I wouldn't waste my time on K-cup machine to brew tea.
First of all, Tea would need longer brewing time then coffee does and second tea maker and coffee maker should not be used at the same time.
you will end up with very funky flavor time to time.

You will actually get better result in French press, Siphon brewer and Aeropress.

I am sure quick and easy way of brewing in K-cup is very appealing but I don't think there are enough demand for the just tea brewer out there.

*That is why there should be a programmable tea and coffee maker capable of controlling the time and temperature with preset ones for specific teas and coffees.
**None of these has digital controls over the brewing time and temperature.
***That is why there should be one that makes both tea and coffee with a feature not to mix the flavors of them in case they're made one right after the other.

I am sure what I have in my head is very easy for a big company to make, but as always we will have to wait decades if not centuries in order to see it happen :).
