There have been a number of threads lately about Keurig. The prepackaged K-cups are notorious for their negative environmental impact and nearly complete lack of good coffee quality...neither of these downsides has deterred broad consumer acceptance of this brew system (shocking ). There is a way to enjoy the convenience of the Keurig system, but without either of these two issues, and that is to purchase a reusable filter cup, like the EZ Cup with paper filters, designed for the Keurig. Google EZ Cups or visit Perfect Pod EZ-Cup | Extract A Better Cup of Coffee. Not sure how many people will eagerly dump their Kuerigs once discovering quality coffee, but this is a great way to adapt the machine to brewing the kind of coffee we all can appreciate!

Mr. Peaberry,
We have come up with a solution for the empty K-cups being dumped into landfills! After completing research on the Kuerig system along with other single serve coffee makers we have come up with a storage and dispensing system that can be attached to multiple machines. This will store and dispense the correct amount of coffee grounds into the reusable filter with the same ease as a K-cup. This allows the use of any coffee grounds you would prefer. Up to 12 ounces can be stored and used as desired. Eliminating the waste and polluting of the environment of the famous K-cup. Our product will be out possibly by the end of this year.

Thanks per_kup (love the name with the double meaning). This is what the market needs, a solution, not a band aid. Spend some time on this site getting to know the members. I'm sure there are a few who would be interested in hearing more. PM me if you don't mind. I'm certainly curious.

Cheers
