Grain to fine with Spong grinder

Hello, so the title says it all. The grain is too fine for my expresso machine when I use my Spong grinder. I even removed the screw at the back of the grinder and it is still too fine. With the screw at maximum, it is almost like flour! Anybody using this grinder had a similar issue?
