This is a short explanation of the components to make a coffee machine that are given here and there are many more parts to make a full coffee machine:
Water reservoir holds a certain amount of water. Coil heater is a heater that is made from a metal wire used to heat up the water. The coilheater goes inside the boiler. On more costly coffee machines, there are two boilers, the first is to heat up the water. Also, bigger coffee machines that are able to make three or four coffee's at the same time have a hot water tap. The hot water tap makes water come out of the tap. The second boiler is for making steam that comes out through the steam arm. The boiler heats up the water to a certain temperature from the reservoir or a thermoblock takes water from the reservoir and heats the water up. When the boiler pressure is at 1.0, the temperature is 253 fahrenheit. When the boiler pressure is higher at 1.3, the temperature gets hotter and comes to 259 fahrenheit. Heat exchanger uses a pipe inside the boiler to get cold water to heat up the water. The thermo stat works out the temperature at the moment to turn on the heating on such as boiler and exchange heater. Then, when the temperature is below a certain temperature, the heating gets to turn off. The e61group head gives pressure water to coffee by water passing through little holes to reach the ground coffee in the portafilter. The portafilter holds the ground coffee. The steam arm uses water to make steam and uses a tip with three holes for steam to get to the milk to make steamy milk. The water pump pumps water to the solenoid valve, this is a valve that automatically opens and closes. The flow control valve is to control the pressure or flow of a liquid such as water and then on the pressure Gauge, you see the amount of pressure on the water from the boiler and are able to measure the pressure from the water pump. Drip tray allows water, coffee to come from pouring coffee and frothing milk into the drip area. Power cord powers the coffee machine. Coffee machine 2 way spout allows you to pour coffee into two cups.
Coffee machine equipment:
Portafilter basket is a filter screen with little holes to allow coffee to pass through into your cup with the pressure water.
Group Gasket is a big rubber ring in the O that connects the portafilter, that holds the coffee by putting together the portafilter basket, allows the pressure water with your coffee to go into your cup, to make a strong fit into outer cut in the e61 group head.
The group head screen known as group screen lets water pass through tiny holes into the portafilter, this stores the coffee to make coffee in your mug.
