Hey guys,

This is my first time buying a coffee machine, any suggestions to get the best machine (in terms of quality) for the cheapest price?

These two make great choices for home espresso, I've been using them for many years now and can pick up cheap on Amazon.com

https://www.amazon.com/DeLonghi-EC1...75&sr=1-11&keywords=delonghi+espresso+machine

and I prefer this https://www.amazon.com/DeLonghi-ECP...075&sr=1-7&keywords=delonghi+espresso+machine and it's the one I use now but I don't like the grind holder/filter it comes with so I use the one from the EC155.

This is the least expensive high quality bean grinder, I have owned this for two years now and it is excellent. https://www.amazon.com/Baratza-Enco...atza+encore+grinder&psc=1&smid=A302OQK4GZWXCC

Whatever you get I'd suggest staying away from a Keurig. Terrible coffee that has cooled before you can sit down. I just started using a French press and I am really enjoying my coffee.

My suggestion: Unless you're willing to spend at least $150-$300 for a coffeemaker, you're better off spending $20 on a pour over dripper. The cheap coffeemakers don't heat the water up to the right temperature for coffee (195 - 205). I have a Technivorm that I only use when I have several people over & need 3-4 cups. Otherwise, I use a pour over dripper. That way, I can boil the water to get the right temp.

I get a laugh when I watch those ads for Keurig & they say, "The Keurig brews at the ideal temperature for coffee - 170 - 180 degrees." They think most coffee people don't know they're 20 degrees off.

If you are looking for a drip coffee machine consider buying an OXO or a Technivorm Moccamaster. If espresso is your choice of drink, go with Breville Duo Temp or a Rancilio Silvia.
