Bonavita 1800/1900 Stress crack in the water reserve.

I've seen reports of this going back 5 years. Unfortunately, mine is now showing cracks as well. Clearly, even with a replacement, the problem will return. Has anyone experienced leaking as these age? I love the machine, but I'm not expecting Bonavita to replace this forever.

According to Bonavita customer service, it is caused by steam. My Bonavita BV 1500 also has stress cracks, but its 3+ years old. They said they have made improvements to the reservoir to mitigate. Maybe stronger plastic.
