Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have only been doing real coffee for about a month, so please bear with me. I have the Yama 8 cup stovetop and would like to know when and how to tell if the cloth filter should be changed. The only thing I have come across said it should be good for a 100 brews. I also am curious why the filter should be put in cold water in the fridge between brews.
