I posted a few days ago with no reply. I desperately need help finding an espresso machine for a high volume store. Besides different brands, where do I buy from ? Could someone please help me out?

I bought mine from Emerald City Espresso in Seattle...very nice people to work with and great prices. Their brand selection is a bit limited, though. Check with your coffee supplier, they may be able to help you get a good deal on equipment.

Good luck

I'm a huge Fan of Astoria machines. They're based in Canada but distribute in the states as well. They make some truly excellent workhorse espresso machines, that range from superautomatic one groups to huge semi automatic and manual four groups with continuous brewing (drool) check out lescafesastoria.com .... they have the best prices I've found and a full selection of all of Astoria's lines. Yeah, you can even get the huge brass dome with the eagle on top!

I'll admit to being biased. When I hear "high volume" I think La Marzocco. They cost more but they're worth it in terms of consistenmcy and they are real workhorse units.

By the way... the "Rio" brand that ESI (Espresso Specialists Inc) of e Seattle distributes are the same CMA machiens as the Astoria - just a different name badge. ESI is also the sole US distributor for La Marzocco and can point you to a reseller.

I'm very intrigued by the new machine available from some guys in Seattle. It was called the Trueh but the original partnership fizzled and it's now going under a name like Syncrony (or something like that). It has dual boilers like La Marzocco's and also features a preheat for the brew boiler water and a PID for extremely stable temp control. LM is now featuring a similar preheat and PIFD upgrade option on new FB70's but the Trueh type machine is way cheaper and appears to be well built.
