Hissing from groupheads on Marzocco machine

would this hissing be normal...it is very subtle and always went unnoticed until recently...it can be heard when the room is very quiet or when one is standing close to machine - sounds like air....could it be that the rubber gaskets need to be changed out? then why is it coming from all three groupheads...hmmm....making sense?? any feedback is appreciated before we put in $$$ here

Nope, sounds like you cracked group head boiler gasket. Take a small mirror and run it all the way around the mounting bracket on the boiler. If the mirror steams over and or has wet spots then you found your leak. A seasoned Marzocco repair person will tell you its pretty straight forward repair. I myself think its a pain in the ass and have cracked one to many upon installation. That and how many bolts do you really need to hold the group head anyway?

Although I am sure CCafe is probably right, it is also worth checking cheaper solutions, such as Vacuum breaker valves, pressure relief valves (safety valves) and even the steam wand valves first, just in case.

Hissing sounds can be quite misleading as to their location.

Make your life simpler. Take that mirror, run it around all your fittings and valves. This will help you determine what is leaking. Davec is right. I just jumped and assumed you had already determined a close proximity of the leak. Sorry, I can be like that.
