May I assume that a coffee podding machine grinds, measures, and inserts coffee into a single serving pod, then adds the foil lid? (Perhaps even applies a vacuum to the container to reduce potential oxidation)

What does something like this cost?
How many pods/hour?
Operational cost for pods and custom foil covers?

Interesting. (good for a coffee retailer to diversify).

The purist side of me:
This seems like the plastic spoon of the cutlery industry, feeding the artless masses wishing to experience culture, but not willing to 'pay dues' and learn. Gen 'x' instant gratification.
