I am looking into buying a new bunn commercial coffee maker and have been looking at the bunn VPR and the bunn VP17 I would like to know other than the VPR having two warming plates is there anything that makes the VP17 less of a coffee maker when compaired to the VPR thanks for any help

Based on the info I found (brew capacity, element wattage, etc) both models seem nearly identical. I use a VPR APS in a commercial setting daily and it's great. A simple workhorse that churns out great tasting coffee time and time again. Does so in a fast manner and recovers quickly between brew cycles.

FWIW there are several VP17 models with warming plates.

The only difference between the two models is the VP17 is the low profile brewer. Its meant to fit underneath your cabinets on the counter. Otherwise just short of body changes they are identical. Something that would complement a VP17 would be a Bunn LPG. Just a thought!
