I have an old Braun Espresso maker: Type 3062

Unfortunately, over the years, alkali has build up inside and is preventing hot water from being released thru the diffuser. (Oddly, when I turn on the steam knob for the turbo cappuccino attachment, it works fine - steam is released). I tried to mix a vineger solution to attempt a proper flushing, but nothing comes out. So, I want to disassemble at least the top to try to physically clean the passages.

I removed 3 Philips screws on the top but the head will not come off. First, the side port for cappuccino attachment must be removed.

Does anyone know the trick for removing this side attachment?

Once I get that off, I should be off & running ...
