I am trying to do some research about coffee roasters in the USA.

Is it required to register your coffee shop or coffee roasting facility with the FDA if you sell your coffee to retailers?

What percent of roasters/coffee shops are registered with the FDA? Most?

Thanks guys

No FDA approval needed.
We need to get the city health department to get the approval beside other inspection such as fire, building, plumbing and electrical.

There aren't any shops in US needed to get FDA registered as far as I know.

Why would we need to register with the FDA?

We are licensed through the state Health Dpt. (Called "Inspections and Appeals" in Iowa.)

We are also certified organic through the USDA.
