Hello all,

So I had a question and want to make sure I'm asking in a way that may not be a taboo subject. I've been roasting as a primary source for fundraising. This year I have the opportunity to sell my coffee through a local grocery store. It's a great opportunity for me as it should (fingers crossed) help to increase the amount I'm selling per week. My question is.....

Do you typically use a formula/rule of thumb when determining what is an acceptable price when selling to a retailer? I believe I'm getting a good price compared to what other roasters are selling their product for (found out from a local bakery what they were paying for coffee) but want to make sure if I need to have a model in mind if I continue to grow. I would imagine you've got to have the cost of beans, production, employee, etc. integrated in a minimum to charge.

Thanks for your help and responses!

Ron
