Help Please: Looking for tips on how to find and select a wholesaler

Hi, I am an MBA student at UCLA Anderson and am researching a coffee startup for my master's thesis. Does anyone have advice on how to find and select good coffee wholesalers? I have heard you should be able to buy good coffee in the $3-$6/pound range. Does that sound right? Is there an online marketplace to find coffee wholesalers? I'd like to start by getting samples from Ethiopia, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. I am looking for a rich, creamy, chocolatey flavor profile. Thanks for any advice!
