Information Please: Coffee "Scout" in SE Asia???

This question is mostly to professional importers/green beans buyers...

I've been living in SE Asia for several years, and met many coffee producers at trade shows, as well as visited coffee farms. I am not an expert green bean buyer, but I would like to get in the business. Is there something like a "coffee scout" in the industry? Someone who has the possibility of doing ground work, like visiting farms, sampling coffee, getting the stories behind the beans, checking procedures/facilities/machinery, checking workers' welfare, etc.? Once this work is done, the scout could send reports and samples to potential buyers. I already started doing this with a couple of farms. I'm just wondering if this could be of interest to importers. Thank you!
