Largest and best may be two different things. If you are a small coffee shop, prospective owner, or barista, the CoffeeFest is a great Convention. They have a few each year, but the best one is held in Seattle. The next one is being held in a few weeks. Sept 23-25

The SCAA convention is more expensive, and is better for established shops or LARGE retailers, roasters, coffee suppliers. It is a fantastic convention, and worth it if you have the $$. This is held yearly. The next is in Portland April 18-22, 2012.

Boresha International is holding a huge regional convention in Chicago on October 14th and 15th. Here is a link http://betteryourself.bfreesystem.com/company/events/183789.html. I would also be happy to provide more information if you would like through email. Feel free to private message me if you would like more information. On the night of October 15th, the company is holding a casino night in Chicago with dinner, music, dancing, dessert, prizes, and complimentary game chips.

Stale thread. OP has one post 18 months ago.

For everyone else:

It is best to go to any and all tradeshows you can attend. Make your own opinion from there. The big event is SCAA each year. It is good to experience (I am told, this year will be my first visit) but is geared to larger operations. That said, I am told everyone should go to at least one big event.

Coffeefest is a good one to go to, held all over the country. The 2013 NY event is next weekend. March 8-10 at Jacob Javits center.

Welcome to Coffee Fest, Where Coffee & Tea Business Happens

I am going.
