We use a food grade grease for most of our roaster's needs. There is also a high temps food grade grease for the drum shaft.

I've been using Superlube on the front drum bearing and it has not melted yet. Supposed to be high temp. and food grade. Still using the factory supplied unmarked "green" on the back drum bearing.

High Temperature food grade grease should be available from suppliers in Europe. Over here it costs around $20 per tube. Problem is that everyone wants to sell you a case.........well, north of the 49th parallel anyhow.

Regular Superlube goes to 450f and the high temp. goes to 475f.
