OK, now that you all have helped me out with my bag questions... I have moved onto shopping for a scale. The scale would be to weigh bean before and after the roasts. Roaster capacity is 11 pounds per batch, so I don't know as if I need a huge capacity scale, unless I'm missing something in my planning? We will be weighing out 5lb, 1lb and 1/2lb bags of roasted bean. Only thing I can think of is that maybe one would want to weigh the 130+ lbs sacks of green bean that come in to ensure their weight accuracy. So first question is - What capacity scale would one recommend for a small batch roasting company (type, make and model if you're willing to share)? My other question is - do roasting scales have to be NTEP certified? I was surfing the Old Will Knotts site and that's where I started seeing some of the scales with the NTEP designation. Thanks again... in advance!!
