Hi There, first post for me so go easy!

I am looking to start roasting on a larger scale and am looking at a used Massol 3KG machine.

I wondered if people have used them (i know they are out of business)?

More importantly, to roast 3KG apparently takes 30-40 minutes, is not a fundamental flaw or is this to be expected with large roasts???

Any ideas appreciated!

I'm guessing what everyone else is going to tell you is that 30-40 minutes is waaay too long for a roast, you should aim for b/w 10-15+ minutes (a few out there say longer. or shorter for that matter).

A Massol is a tough beast to find any info on, turns out. But on the surface level, for around $1500, it's a pretty good deal to be able to roast that much at once. A UK ebay auction sold one last year, and the description said the max capacity is not the advertised 3kg, but more accurately 2kg and under.

Good luck on your search...I'd like to hear what happens. Keep us posted!
