Opinions on Ambex Roasters

So, I've been hearing good things about Ambex. I got some price quotes, and their prices are way lower than Probat and Diedrich. Any thoughts on these machines? Has anyone bought one recently? Does it create a product of lesser quality? Or are the prices you're paying to P & D just for the brand? The Ambex has the Roaster Dynamics integration built in, also, all included in the price.

The Probat Probatino, a little 2 pounder, was $15,192. For that price you can get a new YM-10 (22lbs) from Ambex. :decaf:?

Any/all thoughts good bad or indifferent, please.

Also, does anyone use any roasting software, like Artisan? Any opinions on that?

Hoping Topher chimes in.

I have been seriously considering Ambex for the roasting facility my company is building. Amer at Ambex has been very helpful; and I have yet to hear anything negative about them. I will probably fly to Florida in the next week or so to visit him.

There is a difference in quality in the brands you mentioned. Not saying one is better but they are different.
