Just got my copy yesterday! Haven't had time to read through it, but at first glance it appears like a complete reference A-Z. I will let you know my thoughts when I get a chance to read it thoroughly.

From my understanding most of this is simply reprints of Roast magazine...

That's unfortunate if that is, in fact, the case. The price point suggest a little bit more of an original work then just a compilation or reprints of previous articles. Previous articles can be assembled from what already exists and can get passed around outside of the perceived need 4 book ownership

At least that's how I read it... I do see the price point as fair... its less expensive than buying the archives and its bound in one place. And Roast magazine is typically a quality read.

"The 461-page book includes an astounding wealth of content from the Roast archives, including dozens of long-form pieces penned by authoritative specialists in the industry in areas such as coffee roasting, coffee production and processing, green coffee buying, storage, transportation and defects, roasting equipment and techniques, the science of coffee and coffee roasting, cupping and sensory evaluation, quality control, blending, decaffeination, packaging, and business basics."

$125.00 plus shipping?
of course, if this book is that good and also can give you some information that really can improve your roasting (which you can not obtain from youtube or any other website information), then, I guess it is worth it.

I wonder how good this book it.

So I guess my next statement would be when we as a forum have a resource like Mill City offering free education with their videos. Is something like this really worth the asking price for those of us who know about Mill City?
