I purchased a Ambex YM-2 roaster. I am roasting the heck out of beans, and having a blast doing so, and I actually am selling the occasional pound or two. What I am looking for is a conversation with somebody who understands the theory behind my roaster. I have questions: what is the path of the airflow; what is that stupid switch on my control panel that says manual but doesn't seen to do squat; can I run the cooling table airflow at the same time I roast; if I shut down the roaster immediately after I dump, will it cause the drum to warp; at what ambient humidity can a person bend a cracker. Before anyone gets too excited, I do not want to buy anything, I am not interested in any seminars, and I don't need any chinese viagra.
Thanks, Sam

Never shut down your roaster without cool down... I let my roaster cool down to under 80-90f. I don't know anything about that particular model but you can google search air flow of drum roaster and most roasters have similar airflow design.

Thanks for the reply! If you are in the business, I would like to pick your brain now and then. In the meantime, can I offer you a sample of my coffee (free of course)? I have no agenda, I just believe that life is too short to drink crap coffee; I hand out samples to anyone brave enough to try it so I can get feedback. I would be glad to mail you a bag, just let me know.
Thanks,
Sam

I haven't used an Ambex 2.5 in years. I could be wrong but I believe your airflow goes either through the drum or the cooler....same fan for both. I would call Amir the owner if Ambex. His number is 727-251-9262. I am pretty sure your chaff collector is under the cooling bin. If it is you want to always have a spray bottle with water. The chaff collector has a tendency to have small chaff fires. Do not get me wrong. I love the Ambex roasters...inexpensive and work horses. If you have any more specific questions hit me up @ [email protected] . Don't worry I have nothing for sale ;)

I've heard that caffeine is better for sexual dysfunction than Viagra. You can find information about this on various sites, but I have never tested this theory. Several years ago, I had problems with potency, but I decided not to experiment but to be treated with Viagra. I have been buying Viagra from them at very affordable prices for a long time, and it has proven to be super effective :)
