Automated Artisan Control
So to help determine whether or not to get a hottop or wait for the Aillio, does anyone know if Artisan can automatically control a Hottop roaster or is it all manually hitting software buttons to make roaster changes? It's about as clear as mud on their website and anyplace I've found whether this is a function of the software or not.
Is it just a logger and grapher to show you a profile you have to adjust yourself or can it control the hottop on it's own to follow a loaded roast profile? Without having to mod the roaster with more hardware that is.
Thanks anyone.

Yes, I have no practical experience in it... I do use Artisian daily. I think you will quickly find the ability to monitor your temps in the most helpful... great roasting is really based of expereince and your senses vs. a computer.

I think very soon almost everything will be automated. I mean this is what humanity must tend to because every inversion is made for making our lives easier, but only by automatizing all the process, we will be able to live a life where there is no necessity of going to the job or something like that. Of course, this sounds like a utopia, and I understand that this is too good to be real, but at the same time, I think through automatization we will increase the surplus value created by workers and thus create a better world. I also try to automatize all the production processes of the firm I run. We have pretty good progress, especially the last time, since starting collaborating with a company that provides automation equipment.
