Benefits of Roasting

I like the idea of Roasting my own coffee beans at home. Is it easy to get started? Does it often provide an improved coffee taste?

Welcome to Coffee Forums! I started homeroasting back in 1998 on a hot air popcorn popper. So much more is available to home roasters these days...but, to answer your questions: Yes and sometimes. Sometimes becomes often, then most of the time, and finally...consistently unless you are venturing out and exploring coffees you have never roasted before. That's what makes it fun!
