Hey all, we use a Probat UG15 (1960's) and was wondering if anyone had a few good tips on looking after the dude. How often u guys grease it up, change oils, how u clean pipes, etc. We use a wire brush to get up in the flute and get the nasty things once a week, use a grease gun to grease up the joints, sewing machine oil to oil up the door hinges and automatic transmission fluid for the gear box at the back (we did use sewing machine oil for a little while but wasn't thick enough and it leaked out at times also the roaster didn't sound right at times). I wouldn't mind knowing how you guys get into the horizontal flute (attatched to the air flow) which follows it into the chaff collector. Would be good to hear how u guys look after it. Cheers.
