    Grinder too hot?

    Hello fellow coffee lovers!

I make coffee every morning using a french press and a hand grinder. The grinder was a China imitation of the Hario Skerton, with the burr section made out of ceramic (not sure about the authentic product).

Anyways, I've heard that too much heat produced during the grinding process will affect the taste of the coffee bean produced, an issue more commonly found in electronic grinders rather than hand-cranking devices. The thing is, just how hot is too hot? I've touched the grinding surface immediately after grinding my usual amount, and its too hot to be touched. Is this a problem?
