I just dont know. I would "think", if the proper ratio was had, why not? You'd probably use 1/2 gallon just to get it to bloom, lol.

I'll try it soon, and document it...just dont hold it against me if it goes tits up!

I need a ratio for a 5 gal pour over, any thoughts?
5 gallon is 41.7 pounds which means 8.34 pound/per gallon. so 41.7 divided by 16 is 2.6 pounds of coffee ground! however, since you have to use boiling point hot water, this calculation changes a bit. At a boiling point, a gallon of water weights 8 pounds. so 8 x 5 gallon = 40 pounds. divided by 16 is 2.5 pounds of ground coffee. But I wonder what kind of filter you will be using. I do not think that normal paper filter with normal thickness might not be able to take the weight.
