If anyone who has not tried Ethiopian Yirga, I strongly recommend you to try them out.
By far, it is one of my very favorites in the world.

This morning, I made some AeroPress with Yirga I got from jumpinjakjava. I always do AP in the morning, bit stronger than normal.
Drinking Yirga is like drawing a grand scenery sketch with a very fine yet soft pencil. So many different fine notes.
I am enjoying the Yirga this morning. Thanks Bob.

PS: I will try Pour Over with this in the afternoon.

I'm getting close... launching a new espresso blend this week. Hopefully in two weeks my new Guat Huehue/Bourbon and Sumatra/Aceh Gayo. For next months Tour Pass (my monthly subscription program) will feature an awesome 90+ Rwandan and I will possibly have the new Tanzania if I get it profiled by then. I also have Yirgi natural you will have to try. LOTS of new coffee's coming in...

Great Mike! (BTW, your middle name happen to be "Lawrence"? :+) MLK!

Anyway, I am looking forward some great coffee from you.

BTW, I brought some sample Geisha from Finca Las Rosas in Cuilco, Huehue. This farm only sells their Geisha to Japan customers, but this year, I was able to get some for my Aussie customer. So, When I bought some for my customer, I bought few pounds extra for my own use (in special cases at home) and for some of my very good customers and friends to try out. (not for sales, just to share this awesome Geisha which this forum is all about).

So, MK, I have 300 grams of this Geisha.

if you pm or email me your address, phone #, I can mail this out to you by early next week.

My Aussie gave it 92 Point (CoE cupping standard) and Jeff Babcock from Zoka coffee in Seattle gave it 89 (CoE), so I know it is awesome!

As i promised (well.. to myself), I am doing Pour Over with "jumpinjakjava' Yirga.
more refined acidity with lighter yet more fruity flavor than AP method.
So far, I like them both very much.

It is HOT in L.A. now.
In summer time, I make a lot of cold brew. I use my french press because it works like a charm and give me just enough for couple of days worth. Then, I can use different types of coffee for different types of cold brew. (BTW, my wife never drinks my cold brew, so I do not need to make much).

This morning, I made Bali Natural that I got from Peter. Distinctive smell and flavor from Natural process.
Very coarse ground with 24 hours of steep time.

Looking forward drinking it tomorrow afternoon.
