Hawaiian Kona coffee is nothing much special. They do not have any high grade varietal, nor exceptional micro climate.
however, their coffee is very clean due to really well managed and maintained wash process and sorting process.

not many people picks out Indonesian coffee as their favorite coffee. I mean nothing wrong with Indonesian/sumatra coffee, but if you do not mind, can you give us your personal reason for liking sumatra over Ethiopia or Kenya?
    thanks

well.... florida could be an awesome place to grow coffee only if it would had...
mountains with micro climate & volcanic soil & high altitude (about 5000 feet) and finally with distinctive rainy and dry season for coffee plants to grow properly.

Altitude, varietal, soil, processing, storage and transportation, roasting, brewing...so many variables that even God is scratching his head...lol!

I choose by region...1) Africa 2) PNG 3)Central America 4) Caribbean (sp. Jamaica) 5) South America
