La Colombe teams up with MillerCoors Beer company to lauch "hard cold brew".....

Is this some sort of marketing over board?
With the R&D between two companies, they are planing to roll out 9 oz cold brew with 2 flavors, Black and Vanilla with 4.2% alcohol. They say that the beans are from Brazil and Colombia.

Does it matter where the beans are from in this case?
La Colombe used to be a good specialty coffee company....going into coffee alcohol business?

since it is 4% alchocol which is what a regular beer is, probably it is a beer with coffee flavor in it....

Drink Kahlua if you want a good drink with a booze kick that is coffee flavored. Otherwise just stick to good beer and good coffee by itself.

Someone sent me a 4 pack of PBR hard coffee...taste like yoohoo. Sweet and no bad aftertaste. Usually I am not a fan of coffee in alcoholic drinks such as beer. The coffee always taste stale to me. Not the case in this. Probably because of all the sugar.

Not beer... but another coffee alcohol is Amaro - we went to a cocktail bar and their specials were using Caffe Amaro. It's a bit different since it includes botanicals.

I roasted for a steakhouse about 20 years ago or so and they had a drink that people swear by. If you ever find yourself in Tampa this place is a must! Everything is done in house....everything.
