How much coffee, beans or ground, do you use?
In a thread about storing coffee beans, another member commented, "I go through a pound of coffee in about 4 to 6 weeks." That prompted me to wonder if the amount my wife and I use is extraordinary. Making 1.5 liters of brewed coffee each morning, using a 16:1 water to coffee ratio, we go through a 2 lb bag of beans in nine days. How about you?

I think that was me who said that I go through a pound in 4 to 6 weeks. First of all, it's just me drinking coffee in my house. And I limit myself to two cups a day. And there are days when I don't brew using my beans and instead use the Keurig. So, my experience is not necessarily what you want to judge your own usage by. And in the end, what does it matter what othes do? Drink as much coffee as you like. Your water to coffee ratio sounds good. Do what works for you.

Since we started roasting our own we’re actually keeping track. We go through a half pound every 5 days brewing with an aero press.
