Anyone see the How It's Made episode last evening on the Science Channel?
"Coffee" had a ten minute spot and they used the Cafe Britt plantation(?) for the show. From transplanting the little seedlings to pulling espresso shots and everything in between.
They don't usually make a point of advertising the factory where they filmed the show, but of course, they showed the Cafe Britt logo on the bags and espresso mug at the end.
I've seen shows like this before, but this is the first time I remember hearing how they pump nitrogen into the bags to replace the oxygen that stales the coffee. I wonder if all coffee roasters do this and if it's really necessary or makes a difference in freshness?
