    Online Coffee Roasting Course

    Hi,

We've just launched an online coffee roasting course currently available to Singapore roasters only.
The course currently has over 50 videos(and growing) covering 12 topics in coffee roasting.

The course is designed to teach roasters of all levels how to roast coffee at an elite level.
We are trying to gather feedback and suggestions on how we can make the course more enticing to coffee professionals and business owners alike.
Is the explanations on the site clear and is the navigation simple to use? What is missing in the site or how can we make the value proposition more clear?
Do let us know your thoughts.

    Cheers,
    Compound Coffee Co

currently you can find countless coffee roasting information from youtube, free.
what differentiate your online coffee course compared to what we can find from youtube or other free sources?

let's give him a benefit of doubt.
perhaps he can offer us something that we can not get from free online courses, or something radically better and different that we all can do excellent roasting just by watching his online lessons.

please, Ken, please explain to all of us.
    thanks

So there are a few points of differentiation that we offer. Which of these would appeal the most to the end user?

    1. We are the only dedicated co-roasting space in Singapore. Subscribers to our course get to practice their roasting at our co-roasting facility.
    - 1st hour is complimentary, subsequent hours at $19.90/hr to $49/hr depending on the roaster size you are using.

    2. I've watched many of the resources online about roasting. While it is true that there are many, they all barely scratch the surface on roasting.
The concepts covered are very much within the realm of beginner and intermediate curriculum.
    - Our course covers from beginner to advanced to expert. By advanced I refer to concepts from roasters like Rob Hoos and Scott Rao. By expert I refer to experimental techniques and research that im almost 100% sure nobody else covers. For eg. Using chemistry spectrometers to analyze coffee flavor development within the bean rather than relying on color readers such as agtron which focuses primarily on caramelization. A reading that has minimal relationship to other flavors in the coffee such as florality and fruitiness.

    3. There will eventually be masterclasses taught by roasting champions and seasoned roasters down the line, although this has not been integrated yet as we are still in a beta phase.

    4. We created a unique framework on roasting based off countless roasting experiments and till date over 10,000 batches of roast from the last 6 years. I'm pretty sure nobody comes close to having something similar to this framework which is what we teach after the advanced theory part of the course.

    5. There are over 50+ and growing videos covering 12 different topics within roasting, from theory, to live demonstrations, to setting up a roastery, to roasting and the connection to the barista side, competitions etc.
