Hey all! I'm joining the forums because I want to increase my knowledge of all things coffee, and this place seems like a great resource to learn new ways to enjoy the drink. I was raised in a house where I woke up every morning to the sound of a grinder, a kettle whistling and the smell of my dad's Chemex. So now that I'm out of college, married and moved away, I have my french press, grinder, and a handful of good local shops for beans and I love the taste of the combo... but I'm eager to try new things, and I hope to delve into the world of espresso sooner than later.

You had quite an advantage being raised in a household with a father who had a passion for good coffee.

You're off to a great start in enjoying the world of coffee, especially since you have a grinder, French press, and you've discovered places where you can buy roasted beans locally.
