    Hi Shaun,

    Welcome!

If you post your message in the Deals and Specials thread, you will have a better change of people seeing it.

    Hello Coffee-enthusiasts!

    Greetings from Indonesia.

Name is Kevin, and currently am trying to understand coffee better and deeper.
At the moment, am doing Luwak coffee business. And at the same time am improving knowledge of coffee.

I am quite certain that I will definitely learn something of value through this social networking forum.

Am happy to be part of Coffee Forums.

    Nice to meet you all.

    Hi All,

    I am Bart from Wisconsin!
I am very interested in learning how to roast my own coffee beans, so any information on good starter equipment would be appreciated. I love fresh coffee, and am eager to make my own!

Hi Bart - Try to look at the hottop coffee roaster. The machine is really meant for the home roasting but it produces the roast that are similar to the pro coffee roasters out there. I see it as a good starting equipment to help you hone your roasting skills and in general to see if this is something you want to do before investing in the equipment that is usually in the range of $5k to $20k? It cots around $1,200 and it roasts about 1 batch of 250g every 30 to 45 minutes.

    Good luck!

    Hey guys,

My name is Jackson and I am currently focusing on the coffee industry as the subject of a project I am doing for a business course. Ive been in the coffee scene for a long time. Worked as a barista and my Dad worked for Green Mountain and owned a small roastery called Paradise in MN for some time. Glad to see a thriving community here!

Nice to meet you Smith! What do you do in the business or are you just a fanatic?
