Italy is awesome! I went to Rome, Milan, Florence, Pisa, and some smaller towns in Tuscany. Very nice place. I went during a heat wave though it was brutally hot. I loved the mountains and the people were extremely friendly. Gelato is amazing there as well!Moderator removed a non-coffee related link from his signature.

I am fortunate enough to visit Italy fairly often. I love everything about the country- even the things that most tourists generally hate! I spend a lot of time in the Northeast- Udine, Treviso (Trieste, Susegana, Cogneliano) on coffee business. Obviously I get a chance to pass through Venice quite often- my second favorite city in the world behind Istanbul.
I find Italy like a patchwork quilt- so although The Northeast is where I spend much of my time, the differences regionally are amazing. Also enjoy Sicily, Naples/Sorrento, Bari and of course Verona, Rome and Florence. Not a huge fan of Milan thoughMerdeka Coffee (Indonesian Coffee Roasters and relationship coffee specialists) - Antipodean (Coffee - Cafe - Culture)

I have been only to the northern part, Milan and Venice. Venice is nicer. Milan is dirty and polluted

I have never visited Italy, however I do have a few friends from there. I would love to visit Rome, and see some of the great history they have.
If memory serves there were some coffee farms in the hills of a small sort of village that can only be gotten there on a mule.. Would be interesting to see how they do things there.

I have never visited Italy and I don't want to either. I am sorry to any of the Italians out there but I heard that it isn't the cleanest place on the planet. AC Milan (the soccer club) is though what I really like about Italy.
Actually, one of my colleagues went to Italy with her husband and two kids, back in 2010. Her husband was on official tour but he also too the family along with him. She told me though that it was not the best experience of her life. According to her, it is pretty much populated, polluted and rushy to visit. She also said that she had real problems at the air port since the Italians don't like to speak in English even if they know it. They prefer to talk in Italian irrespective of where are you actually from. She however told me that since it is the birth place of "Pizza", so you can the world's best Pizza varieties there. Furthermore, she told that the coffee there is also extremely good in taste, generally. This is the type of coffee which is available in cafes/restaurants. I don't know how is the "unmade" coffee there since neither she told me about that nor did I ask her about it.
I again say sorry if someone dislikes anything what I just stated in my post. This is my own opinion based on the experiences shared with me, by my colleague, so I might be wrong.
Thanks.SAY "I LOVE YOU" TO EVERYONE YOU WANT TO, BEFORE ITS TOO LATE !
