Hi,I am brand spankin new here.
Have a problem with my new Bunn coffee maker.I have the GRX and it seems to make coffee too fast.It brews in 3 minutes like it supose to,but the flavor of the coffee aint there like it was when I used my old $20 Procter-Silex.
It took it about 15 minutes to brew 12 cups,but at least it had some flavor.
Anything I can do to get more flavor out of the coffee?
If not that thing is going back.I payed $69.98 + tax for it and thought that was a good deal,but not if it makes coffee with no flavor,taste weak,watered down.

Yeah, Java Hill is totally on target! and if you have a local coffee roaster who will work with you. See I provide FREE filters, stir sticks and delivery. So yeah get a good BUNN coffee maker, and good Coffee and you and the rest of your office will be happy

Thanks for the replies cloudsipper. I'm off to try a batch of coffee again. I tried French Press coffee a few times and I liked it, and it was strong to boot. But if I can get this Aeropress to be strong also, then I do prefer it because it is so easy to use.
By the way, for hot water, I use the hot water faucet that is on the front of the Bunn coffee maker at work. Do you guys happen to know what temperature the water is on those faucets? Is it boiling or a little lower? I don't have a thermometer anywhere.

NightGuy, that reminds me alot of my 3rd shift days. A Bunn coffee maker next to my desk, and a a Constantly filled cup of coffee in my hand.
I have a 1.5 liter air pot at my side I am thinking of installing an IV I work 7 days on 12 hour shifts then 7 off

Nowadays I stick to a few cups in the morning and one after lunch, it keeps me productive. Occasionally on an evening I'll leisurly enjoy a cup with friends.

Thank you for your reply. I believe I need to explain better. I’m sorry but I rambled on quite a bit in my first segment so it’s easy to loose my question.
Let me try again without so much rambling. The idea I was thinking of was installing a single espresso machine that I would purchase into businesses like deli’s, business offices, and office complexes. Much like a coffee vending business except I would use super automatic espresso machines instead of plain ole pour over bunn coffee makers. The deli or business office owner would not have to buy or pay for these machines from me, rather using the drink counter built into the machines, I would bill the deli owner or merchant the $1.00 per drink. If I could place 10 machines into 10 deli’s, business offices, etc., and each machine dispensed just 25 drinks each day, 5 days per week, 4 weeks per month, I could net over $3700 per month. This is the business idea I wanted to see if anyone had any comments on. My thinking is I currently work in a 16 story bank building. The deli on the first floor does not have espresso, and I really dislike drip, which is all that is available in our office. I would easily pay $3.00 to go down the elevator, and get a quality espresso drink to take back to my little cubicle. Ideas, suggestions, draw-backs?

My Machine costs are around 10k for:
Nuova Simonelli espresso machine (2 group)
MDX espresso grinder
Bunn 220v brewer
6 airpots
undercounter frig
dishwasher
mop sink
handsink
bunn coffee grinder
iceomatic under counter ice machine
I am just devastated by this. I know my sales projected are much lower than they could potentially be. The bank is not going to give me more money, I have explored that already.
Perhaps I should consider the Espresso Cart business? I have the money to swing that...at least I think I do. The problem here is that there is no foot traffic in the entire area I live in. People here are used to driving for what they need.
For those of you who have gotten to this point and had the bottom drop out from under you:
How long does it take to get over this? I admit, I am taking it pretty hard.

Although a nice idea, I suspect that the true cost of this business model and capital required to get underway would be prohibitive. By the time that you consider the cost of commercial superauto equipment that will perform reliably per location, water treatment, installation (plus the installation of 220v service, water line and drain), on-site marketing, service calls and routine maintenence, each site would need to produce a decent volume of business to become profitable - at such volumes, I would expect these locations to operate their own coffee bars or license a program from Starbucks or others.
How much capital do you have to invest into your concept?

If by "supermarket brands" yu mean thgins along the lines of Chock Full 'O Nuts, Maxwell House, Folger's etc. I'd say that the "8 O'Clock French Roast" whole bean is the best of the bunch. It was originally an A&P grocery store brand but was available widely in chain grocery stores other than A&P's.
I agree that Starbucks roasts too dark and I'll reaffirm that there's no cachet for me in that brand name but I've A/B compared whole bean Starbucks that was fresh ground and brewed in the office in a Bunn coffee maker to pre-ground Maxell House and Folger's. The Starbucks totally blew away those two even though it wasn't all that great.
When I first tried Millstone many years ago it wasn't bad but when I tried it again in a pinch it was middle of the road at best.
